Genevieve Carrier-Beaulieu
Director-Beresford
The Co-operators

Geneviève Carrier-Beaulieu is a native of north-western New Brunswick who moved to the Chaleur region with her family in September 2009.  Her job as a life insurance broker brought her here, but now she sees this area as her adopted home.  She was greatly impressed with the beauty of Bathurst, all the little villages surrounding it and the easy access to its beaches, nature and forests.  She was greeted so warmly by the people here that she felt at home right away.

She got involved in community life as soon as she arrived by joining Synergies Chaleur and becoming a member of their mentorship committee.  She is also involved in the Relay for life.  Last year she sat on the Relais Chaleur committee and she occasionally volunteers her services for special events organized by the Multicultural Association.

Although Geneviève originally came here as an insurance broker for SFL Partner of Desjardins Financial Security, her career took another direction in May 2011 when she accepted a position at the Co-operators agency in Beresford.  Her mandate is to manage the office for a maximum of three years, after which she will become the owner of the agency.   Geneviève is a true business woman; she sees this challenge as a way to make her dreams come true, and she is delighted with the idea that she will be able to further develop her knowledge in this field.  Being able to work with the people of the Chaleur region is the icing on the cake that makes her career the best one in the whole world.

Geneviève sees successful small businesses as a major force in sustaining a vibrant community, and she believes that joining the board of directors of the Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce is the best way for her to get involved and participate in the growth of the Chaleur region.
