Seasons Greetings Chamber Members

With the holiday season now upon us, I wanted to take the opportunity to extend my wishes to you, your staff, and your family, for a happy holiday season. We also extend a special thank you to our members for making 2011 another successful year for the Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce.

As we approach 2012, we look forward to continuing to engage the members. We want to be sure you get the most benefit as a Chamber member. I ask that you encourage a new member to join, come to our after hour socials or join a committee to ensure you are making the most of what the Chamber has to offer.

In October, we launched the Business Immigrant Mentorship Program. Six business-oriented new arrivals to the region have been paired with experienced mentors on a six-month journey of training, networking, and one-on-one meetings. The program is garnering much media coverage and is a welcome addition to the Chamber. We are now the fourth region to offer this provincially funded program in the Province of New Brunswick.

We also aspire to be your trusted voice to advocate your concerns to government and policy makers. The strength of our chamber is in you, our members.

I am excited about continuing the role as Chamber President into 2012 and I want to propose to all future members that the returns and rewards of membership are numerous. There is no better time to join the Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce family.
