ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING IN BERESFORD WAS A HUGE SUCCESS May 18th, 2012
Beresford, N.B.: The Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday May 17, 2012 at the Club Chal Baie in Beresford and it was a huge success. Over 60 members participated in this annual event. Various activities, organized by the Town of Beresford such as kayaking, and a guided walking-tour organized preceded the event and a lobster supper with musical entertainment by Caroline Boudreau followed the meeting.

Celebrating the Entrepreneurial Spirit of the Chaleur Region: Northern Development, Diversification and Innovation May 3rd, 2012
Startup Canada is a national movement to promote a vibrant entrepreneurial culture and will launch its NB tour in the Chaleur region. To celebrate our entrepreneurial spirit, the Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce in partnership with CBDC Chaleur, Enterprise Chaleur and the City of Bathurst cordially invite you to attend a casual business brunch on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 10:00 am with a keynote address by Denis Desrosiers of Sentinel Systems followed by a roundtable discussion facilitated by Startup Canada. Interested participants can enjoy a round of golf and networking following the brunch.

Les Eloizes April 26th, 2012
From May 2nd to May 6th, Greater Bathurst will be celebrating in sync with Les Éloizes, a major event in the promotion of Acadian Arts. The finalists will be awarded prizes, and their names and their art will be on display in the host region for the duration of the event.

After Hours with The Multicultural Association of the Chaleur Region Inc. April 26th, 2012
The Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce hosted an After Hours Social with featured member, The Multicultural Association of the Chaleur Region Inc. It was a wonderful gathering of the business-people, community leaders and the dynamic Multicultural community. The Association is an integral part of our community and it was a great way to feature their accomplishments as well as their upcoming events.

A crowd of over 40 participants attended a lunch and learn at the Atlantic Host presented by the Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce, CBDC Chaleur and Enterprise Chaleur on opportunities related to the shale gas industry.

Eight New Arrivals Will Participate in the Second Cohort of the Business Immigrant Mentorship Program (BIMP) March 30th, 2012
The Business Immigrant Mentorship Program (BIMP), a provincial initiative funded by the Province of New Brunswick and managed by the Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce, officially launched its second on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Bathurst. Eight business-oriented new arrivals have eagerly signed up to take part in the second round of the program.
